NVE5 In OUr Rear View
What is the NVE5 50/50 Raffle? Simply put, it's a chance to win half of the net proceeds raised from ticket sales. Each prize is cash and the amount depends upon the number of 50/50 Raffle tickets sold. The more who participate, the larger the cash prize. For each $15,000 in tickets sold, a random drawing will occur.
· 1 ticket for $5.00
· 5 tickets for $20.00
· 20 tickets for $50.00
· 50 tickets for $100.00
VOA members may purchase tickets for the NVE5 50/50 Raffle ("50/50 Raffle") until 12:00 pm Mountain on Saturday, September 9, 2023 (the "Raffle Period"). Each printed ticket is a receipt of the participant’s purchase and represents one (1) entry in the 50/50 Raffle for the Raffle Period.
HOW TO BUY TICKETS
Tickets may be purchased via the NVE5 website via credit card, or via cash at the NVE5 event in Colorado Springs, CO.
Tickets sold online in advance of the NVE5 event will be distributed to the participant during NVE5 registration check-in at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. No 50/50 Raffle tickets will be mailed.
Participants may purchase as many tickets as they wish, subject to availability and until the closing of the 50/50 Raffle at 12:00 pm Mountain on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
No refunds will be made, except as otherwise determined by the NVE5 Steering Committee in its sole and absolute discretion.
RANDOM DRAWING - MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
At the time of purchase, a duplicate (i.e., half) of each ticket will be collected and placed in a collection box. A winning ticket will be randomly and physically drawn from the collection box during the final farewell dinner on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort located at 3225 Broadmoor Valley Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. The winning ticket will be selected only from those participants that purchased a 50/50 Raffle ticket during the Raffle Period.
The winner will have twenty (20) minutes from the announcement to redeem. The winner must claim their prize within the specified time period or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in a disqualification and prize forfeiture. If a winner has not claimed the prize within twenty (20) minutes of announcing the winner, the winner’s eligibility will be forfeited, and another ticket will be physically drawn from the collection box according to the same terms. Best efforts will be made to verify a winner before a prize is considered forfeited.
For each jackpot that reaches $15,000 in gross ticket sales, one (1) winner will receive a cash prize of half of the net proceeds. The net proceeds are the gross pool minus fees and operating costs. The remaining half of the net proceeds will benefit the VOA and select charities.
The cash prize will be paid to the winner in cash or via check, as preferred by the winner.
50/50 Raffle ticket purchases are not tax-deductible. Each winner assumes all responsibility for any state, county, local, or federal taxes, fees, or withholdings. Each winner is advised to consult his or her own tax advisor(s) with respect to the liabilities that may arise from winning a prize in the 50/50 Raffle. No substitutes for prizes are allowed by any potential Raffle winner. All costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and redemption and use not specified herein as being provided including, but not limited to, lodging, transportation costs to and from any event, meals, gratuities, and other expenses incurred by accepting any prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner and are not included with the prize. Potential 50/50 Raffle winners may waive their right to receive a prize (i.e., decline the prize), at which time the prize from that drawing date will be forfeited and the prize money will be retained by the NVE5 Steering Committee.
